We were joined by Reel Brass, who were a ceilidh band from Scotland. The children from both Butterknowle and Woodland enjoyed a fun packed musical extravaganza in the glorious sunshine. We even learnt some new dances! Many thanks again to our school governor, Councillor Heather Smith for providing the funding from her council budget.
16.12.16 Robotics Festival
We took a group of Year 6 pupils to a Robotics Workshop on Tuesday. The purpose of the day was to see how our lessons in coding could be developed to programme and operate robots! We were given the opportunity to ‘play’ with a number of different robot types. Our group decided that the most popular robot was the ‘Codybot’.
Residential Blog
It has been a busy two days. Weather has been wonderful. Wall to wall sunshine both days. So far we have been on the beach, built sandcastles, taken a boat trip around the Farne Islands,rockpool dipping and buying souvenir. Internet access is limited!

Halloween Spooks invade school!
Our Halloween Party at the end of last half term was a great success with a big turnout of spooks, ghouls, witches and other scary characters! Many thanks to Friends for organising and running this event. We made a profit of £80 which will now be used to help subsidise the pantomime trip at the end of term.
Class One visit the zoo
Class One has a fantastic day at the zoo on Monday this week. On a day of glorious sunshine the children and staff spent a memorable time visiting a range of different animals from around the world. They also enjoyed a workshop about different habitats and discovered where animals come from.

06.03.15 Vacancy on school governing body
We currently have two parent governor vacancies on our school governing body. We are looking for parents with strong financial skills and an ability to be an active member on the school Finance and Premise Committee.
