13.03.15 Butterknowle Primary School is doing Race For Life

This year we are once again raising money for Cancer Research by taking part in the Race For Life event on Sunday 7th June in Darlington.  We have registered as Butterknowle Primary School Team and our reference number is  OC6636.  For more details speak to Mrs Thompson.  We also have a Just Giving page where you can send your donations.

13.03.15 School Easter Fair on Saturday 21st March 2015

Easter-Fair-BannerWe are holding our Easter Fair in school on Saturday 21st March 2015 from 11am to 1pm.  We have a wide range of stalls.  Refreshments will be served.  We will announce the winners of our Easter Egg decorating competition on the day.   This event is being organised by ‘The Friends’ and money raised by the friends will help provide additional activities and treats for your child.

13.03.15 Messy Church for Mothering Sunday

This is a whole family activity for all ages; parents, carers and accompanied children welcome.  It takes place at St. John’s Church, Lynesack on Sunday 15th March 2015 at 3pm.  Activities include making cards and gifts, simnel cakes and handprints.

06.03.15 Mother’s Day Breakfast

Calling all mothers, grandmothers, aunties and any important females in your child’s life!  Don’t forget to book in and join our ‘Mother’s Day Breakfast’ on Friday 13th March at 9am in the school hall.  We will be holding a raffle on the day to raise some funds to cover the cost of this event – so bring your purses!  We look forward to seeing you there.

27.02.15 Mrs Dauber returns to school.

We are delighted to inform parents that Mrs Dauber returns to school next week after suffering a broken arm after a nasty fall on the ice.  She will be returning for three mornings a week (Wed, Thu, Fri) from now until Easter.  Mrs Wilkinson will continue to take Class 2 on Mon, Tue and Wed.

08.02.15 School Cross Country Event.

Don’t forget to come and watch your child race in our school cross country event on Wednesday 11th February at 2pm.  Pupils will be running around our school field in three races.  There will be an awards ceremony at the completion of all events.  All parents, family and friends welcome to come and spectate.
