This week ‘Robins’ (Class Two) took part in a day full of exciting and adventurous outdoor activities led by Kirsty Brien and her fabulous team of instructors.
During the canoeing session they learnt how to turn around and paddle forward and backwards. These skills proved very useful when they played canoe tig! At the end of the session the biggest challenge yet was to get out of their canoes and onto dry land.
Everyone was glad to find out that the climbing wall was indoors, and out of the rain. Once inside the instructors showed everyone how to play pirate games, spell out words using the climbing wall, and search for Easter eggs left by the Easter Bunny! Each team was then challenged to make their way along the wall without touching the floor. At the end, with climbing harnesses on, each person had to climb right up to the top of the wall for the prize.
What a fantastic day! A great big thank you to Kirsty and her team who expertly demonstrated the skills we needed, while ensuring our safety at all times.
