We were joined by Reel Brass, who were a ceilidh band from Scotland. The children from both Butterknowle and Woodland enjoyed a fun packed musical extravaganza in the glorious sunshine. We even learnt some new dances! Many thanks again to our school governor, Councillor Heather Smith for providing the funding from her council budget.

We took a group of Year 6 pupils to a Robotics Workshop on Tuesday. The purpose of the day was to see how our lessons in coding could be developed to programme and operate robots!  We were given the opportunity to ‘play’ with a number of different robot types.  Our group decided that the most popular robot was the ‘Codybot’.

Halloween spooks

Our Halloween Party at the end of last half term was a great success with a big turnout of spooks, ghouls, witches and other scary characters! Many thanks to Friends for organising and running this event.  We made a profit of £80 which will now be used to help subsidise the pantomime trip at the end of term.
